Double click on a mosque name to bring up the map. To the right of the mosque name is the year it was built, and what Dan Gibson has classified it as. Use your mouse scroll wheel to zoom in and out. At the top, you can select different groupings of mosques or mosques by dates. Make sure you are zoomed out enough to see where the mosques are. Select a mosque in the list and then cycle through the mosques using up and down keys. The colored arrows on the map show the direction of Petra, Jerusalem, Mecca, and the solstice sunrise/sunset directions (as they were in 800 CE). The "Indian Circle" options show the Qibla directions if the builders had used the Indean Circle method with 100% accurate information for north/south and east/west calculations. You can see more details about the selected mosque by clicking on more info. Use the search box to search by name, city or country.
